Privacy policy

Introduction

When you visit our website, information about you is collected. It is used to tailor and improve our content and to increase the value of the ads shown on the site. If you do not want information about you to be collected, you should delete your cookies and stop using the website. In the sections below, we explain what information is collected, why, and which third parties have access to it.

Cookies

The website uses "cookies" – small text files stored on your computer, mobile phone or similar device – in order to recognise it, remember settings, compile statistics and target ads. Cookies cannot contain harmful code such as viruses.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; your browser's help pages explain how.

If you delete or block cookies, the ads you see will simply become less relevant to you, while they may appear more often. The website may also not work optimally, and some content may not be accessible.

PERSONAL DATA

General

Personal data is any information that can, to some extent, be linked to you. When you use our website, we collect and process a range of such information. This happens during ordinary interactions on the website, for example when you sign up for our newsletter, take part in a competition or survey, register as a new user or subscriber, or otherwise use our services or make a purchase through our website.

We typically collect and process the following types of information: a unique ID and technical information about your computer, tablet or mobile phone, your IP address, geographical location and which pages you click on. To the extent that you explicitly consent and enter the information yourself, we also process: name, phone number, email, address and payment details. This typically happens when you create a login or make a purchase on the site.

Security

We process your personal data securely and confidentially in accordance with applicable law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.

Your information will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected and will be deleted once that purpose has been fulfilled or is no longer relevant.

We have taken technical and organisational measures to prevent your information from being accidentally or unlawfully deleted, disclosed, lost, impaired, accessed by unauthorised persons, misused or otherwise processed in violation of the law.

Purpose

The information is used to identify you as a user and show you the ads most relevant to you, to record your purchases and payments, and to provide the services you have requested, such as receiving newsletters. We also use the information to optimise and improve our services and content.

Retention period

We retain information for the period permitted by law and delete it when it is no longer necessary or relevant. The period depends on the nature of the information and the reason for storing it. It is therefore not possible to give a general time frame for when information is deleted.

Disclosure of information

Data about your use of the website, which ads you receive and possibly click on, geographical location, gender, age group etc. is shared with third parties to the extent this information is known and to the extent we use third parties. You can see which third parties are involved in the section on cookies above. The information is used for targeted advertising.

We also use a number of third parties to store and process data. They process information solely on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.

Personal data such as your name and email address will only be shared if you have given your consent. We only use data processors within the EU or in countries that can provide adequate protection for your information.

Access and complaints

You have the right to be informed of the personal data we process about you, in a commonly used format (data portability). You may also object to the use of your information at any time, and you can withdraw your consent to the processing of your information. If the information we process about you is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted. Please contact us at: info@gavnstudio.dk. If you wish to complain about our processing of your personal data, you can also contact the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

If you no longer want us to process your personal data, or want us to restrict the processing of your personal data, you can also send a request to the email address above.
