Dummy clips: a guide to the right one for your baby

A dummy clip is small, but it makes a big difference in everyday life — it keeps the dummy close to your child, so it doesn't get lost or fall on the floor. Here's our guide to choosing the right one and using it safely.

What is a dummy clip?

A dummy clip (also called a soother clip) is a soft ribbon with a clip at one end and a loop at the other. The clip fastens to your child's clothing, and the dummy attaches to the loop — so it stays with your child and is easy to find again.

When can a baby use a dummy clip?

A dummy clip can be used from birth, when your child uses a dummy. Always use it under supervision, and take it off when your child is sleeping or alone — that's the most important safety rule.

How long can a dummy clip be?

For safety, a dummy clip may measure at most 30 cm (300 mm) including the clip — this follows the European safety standard EN 12586. A clip that's too long can pose a choking hazard. Our dummy clips meet the requirement.

How to use the dummy clip safely

• Fasten the clip to the clothing — never around the neck.
• Take the dummy clip off during sleep and when your child is unsupervised.
• Regularly check the ribbon, clip and seams for wear.

Materials and care

Our dummy clips are sewn in soft cotton with a secure metal clip. Wash at 30°C. Everything is sewn in Denmark from carefully selected materials.
